Course Description:

Welcome to Woodwork
9. This is an introductory woodworking
course. This is primarily a “hands on”
course where you will learn basic shop safety, general shop procedures, design
& dimensioning, and the use of all hand and power tools in the
woodshop. Upon successful completion of Woodwork
9 students will be able to safely use general hand tools, and woodworking power
tools.

Students will
quickly build their woodworking skills while they accomplish the construction
of a hat rack, unique
cutting board, small storage box, stepping stool, scroll
saw project, mallet, bowl, mantle clock and if time allows a personal project.
